  1. How do I apply a Desktop Theme?

    Most of my regular visitors find it easiest to apply Desktop Themes with freeware Desktop Architect or some type of desktop manager software.


  2. When I try to apply a Desktop Theme, it says there are missing file components?

    There are not missing components to the Desktop Theme. To successfully apply a Desktop Theme, most people need to use a theme manager application such as freeware Desktop Architect.


  3. My browser won't let me download your files?

    Make sure that you select "save" to download the file to the location of your choice instead of selecting "run". This has been a complaint from predominately AOL users. One of my AOL visitors told me they could eventually download a file without a problem by using Mozilla Firefox instead of Microsoft Explorer or by clicking the download link several times when the server is busy.


  4. Is Microsoft Defender the worst program to protect my computer?

    Yes. Microsoft Defender is notorious for deleting or misinterpreting second party software including the advertisements used in some of the files. The only way to protect your computer accurately without false warnings is by using high quality anti-virus software such as Kaspersky or any of the top three recommended anti-virus programs by Consumer Reports.


  5. How do I apply cursors?

    You can use freeware Desktop Architect to change cursors or follow the steps below.
    1. Open the Control Panel and go to the mouse properties
    2. Choose the pointers tab. Select a cursor scheme in the list or click 'browse...' and then search for the cursors from the folder you placed them during the installation.



  6. How do I apply icons?

    You can use freeware Desktop Architect to change icons or follow the directions below.
    1. Right click the icon you wish to change on your desktop.
    2. Select Properties and click Change Icon.
    3. Click Browse to find the location of where you installed the new icons and select the new icon.



  7. How do I apply Outlook stationery?

    To apply Outlook Express stationery follow the steps below:
    1. Open Microsoft Outlook and click the Inbox icon.
    2. On the Actions menu, point to New Mail Message Using, and the click the Stationery you want to use.
    3. If the stationery you want is not listed, click More Stationery, and then in the Stationery box, select the one you want to use.
    4. When you install stationery, the image files (*.gif or *.jpg) and the *.htm file are stored in your Stationery folder (by default this is :\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery).



  8. How do I apply Incredimail Letters / Skins?

    You need Incredimail to use Incredimail Letters. Incredimail Letters / Skins install themselves to your Incredimail program once you click on them. Double-click the downloaded Incredimail Letter icon and the Letter will be automatically installed to your Incredimail Program. It's that easy! Then your installed Incredimail Letter will be available from the Style Box in your Incredimail Program.


  9. How do I apply Messenger Skins?

    Please follow the directions below to install Yahoo! Messenger Skins.
    1. Create a new folder in the directory C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\skins and rename it to anything you wish.
    2. Now extract the contents of the downloaded file into this new folder that you have created.
    3. Now you are ready to apply a your Yahoo! Messenger skin. Go to the main Messenger window. Click on the Login menu item, and select Preferences.
    4. Then click on the Appearance category. Choose a new Skin Theme by selecting one from the current theme drop down menu.
    5. Click Apply.



  10. How do I apply XP Styles?

    On every xpstyles.php WebPage there are links for using XP Styles where it says "XP Styles are applied with Style XP or WindowBlinds." where you click  "More ->" files.


  11. How do I apply ICQ Skins?

    Make sure you have ICQ Plus! to make use of the skins.
    1. No need to unzip the file that you downloaded!
    2. Open up ICQ and click on the ICQ main page button.
    3. You will now see a new option called Plus, click on it.
    4. You will now click on Import and Browse your hard drive to the location where you downloaded your ICQ skin, click on it and click open.
    5. You can now select that or any other skin from the skin drop down menu and then click apply.



  12. How can I join and submit files to your website?

    The files available are stored by FileSubmit. FileSubmit is the company that foots the bill for the server storage. You can submit your wallpaper and other desktop enhancements in the future Here. Submitting a file is very easy.


  13. I followed the directions and still can't get a file to work?

    If you have not obtained adequate help from any of these FAQs to successfully use a desktop enhancement, please provide the title and type of file and contact us by clicking here.

  15. May I use the images from your site for my business?

    No. There are over 108,000 files and the images vary greatly in style and mediums (digital, oil, etc..) so you see they are by hundreds of different artists who gave permission for use to many different desktop authors who have submitted the files. They are copyright protected for personal, non-commercial desktop use only. To contact specific artists you may try viewing images at art.com or go to artists websites.


  16. I believe you have a file that infringes upon my copyright. What should I do?

    The images and download files displayed on Appleblossom Art WebPages are not stored on our server and are projected from the website ezthemes.com which is run by filesubmit.com. Appleblossom Art did not create or submit the images or files and Appleblossom Art does not own the domain ezthemes.com. Because the files and images are stored by ezthemes.com, Appleblossom Art is not able change or delete the material. The desktop author of the files has the responsibility to obtain permission before submitting files to ezthemes.com. You can read this information at ezthemes.com which states, "(All files submitted to this site are from independent authors, we do not have the resources to check the contents of these files for copyright infringements. We assume that the authors have given full credit where required. However, sometimes an infringement can still occur. If this is the case, and you own the copyright and wish to have the file removed, please inform us, and we will notify the author and remove the file)". Here is the contact URL for ezthemes.com.


  17. Why do some of your downloads include advertisement software?

    A company named FileSubmit stores the files for Appleblossom Art and many other desktop enhancement websites. FileSubmit bundles most of the files with advertisement programs because the adware pays for the storage making the files free for you to download and use. The advertisement software is safe and easily removed useing your Add/Remove Programs feature of the Windows control panel. My server has enough space for a couple dozen files so all the downloads on my homepage www.appleblossomart.com are 100% clean with no advertisement programs.


  18. How can I download your files without advertisement software?

    If you want a file without the advertisement software click the link "Subscribe" for a membership which is located on the left on all the webpages that list files. The membership is with FileSubmit.com. That is why the download webpages say, "The first few downloads have advertising software which pay for the file storage and can be easily removed in Add/Remove programs." Some routine visitors have signed up for the membership but most prefer to download the files without paying the $10 membership fee.


  19. What is the purpose of this site? How can I help?

    The purpose of Appleblossom Art is to provide free downloads for the purpose of increasing medical donations from generous visitors for the non-profit organizations listed at HELP. Of note, the membership fee through FileSubmit.com does not go to the organizations researching successful treatment for Vulvodynia, Fibromyalgia or Interstitial Cystitis.


  20. Do you choose or control the advertisement software included with some of the file downloads?

    No, a company named FileSubmit owns and stores the files for Appleblossom Art and many other desktop enhancement websites. Filesubmit selects, manages and creates the advertisement software bundles.


  21. Does the advertisement software harm my computer? How do I remove the software?

    No, the advertisement software does not harm your computer and is provided to filesubmit by legitimate advertising companies such as WhenU and DealIO. Also the advertisement software does not contain any virus' or trojan programs. Some low cost or freeware anti-virus programs may erroneously label the advertisement software. The advertisement programs are easily and most efficiently removed by using the Windows Add/Remove programs feature within the control panel. In the rare case you are having difficulty or tried to use a low quality software removal program instead of Windows, the individual advertising companies have technical support available for assistance.


  22. Does the advertisement software contain any virus' and/or spyware?

    No, the advertisement software does not contain any virus' or spyware programs and is provided to filesubmit by legitimate advertising companies. Of note, some low cost or freeware anti-virus programs may erroneously label the advertisement software. Appleblossom Art recommends a mainstream anti-virus program such as Kaspersky, Norton or Pc-Cillin for anyone using the Internet or accessing other computer systems.
