It is necessary to clean out your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies so that a webpage will refresh and show current content on your system. The following is
step-by-step instructions on how this is done in Internet Explorer.
1) At
the top of Internet Explorer you have drop-down menus labeled File, Edit, View,
Favorites, Tools, and Help.
2) Click
on Tools
3) Using
the drop-down menu, click Internet Options
4) A box
will appear with several tabs at the top. It will open to the tab labeled
"General".
5) Under
"Temporary Internet Files", click the "Delete Files..." button.
6) A box
will appear confirming that you want to delete your temporary internet
files. Click "OK".
7) Your
Temporary Internet Files have now been deleted and you are back at the box
called "Internet Options" and has the tabs at the top.
8) Still
under the "General" tab and under the heading "Temporary Internet
files", click the button labeled "Delete Cookies...".
9) A box
will appear confirming that you want to delete all cookies in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
Click "OK".
10) Your
Cookies have now been deleted. Now click "OK" to close Internet Options.
